Before we jump into the list, let me tell you why joining affiliate programs that offer recurring commissions is extremely crucial. Especially if you heavily rely on Google to get traffic.

Why Affiliate Programs with Recurring Commissions
First. SEO is getting harder day by day as Google releases new algorithm updates more frequently than before to ditch low-quality AI-generated content. Even if your website already has good metrics (e.g., high domain authority), you are not completely safe from a new algorithm update.
I have a personal story in case you are interested in learning more about the particular reason.
Second. Joining affiliate programs that offer recurring comissions allows you to build more sustainable revenue. Creating content is not easy. It takes time and energy. If you only get one-time commissions for all the effort you have made, it doesn’t seem fair enough.
So, if you truly want to build a long-term success with your content creation business, then joining affiliate programs that offer recurring commissions is one of the solutions.

5 Things to Note Before Joining Affiliate Programs with Recurring Commissions
When joining an affiliate program that offer recurring commissions, your main goal is to build a sustainable revenue which you can heavily rely on. Thus, you need to be very careful before you register and start recommending the product via your content.
Once again. Your hard work matters. So, only make a partnership with a company you can trust and rely on.
There are at least 5 things you need to note before you join an affiliate program offered by a certain company:
1. Commission Rate
This is the most crucial one. You should not join an affiliate program offered by a company if the commission rate it offers is too low.
Most affiliate programs on the list below offer commission rate between 10 to 50%.
Even if join an affiliate program that offers commission rate of only 10%, it still better for a long-term than joining an affiliate program that offers a one-time commission.
2. Commission Duration
Not all affiliate programs on the list below offer lifetime recurring commissions. Some programs limit the commissions duration.
Take Jotform. Its affiliate program offers recurring commissions for only 12 months.
If you want to use paid ads to boost your affiliate sales, you definitely need to join affiliate programs that offer lifetime recurring commissions to allow you to get the best possible ROAS.
3. The Billing Cycle
Most products offered by affiliate programs on the list below are SaaS products, which adopt subscription-based payment model. They charge their users either per month or per year.
Depending on the sustainable revenue scheme you want to build and how you will promote your affiliate products.
If you want to involve ads, for instance, you may want to get the quick results. And for this, you should join affiliate program by a company that charge their users on a monthly basis.
4. Cookie Duration
The longer the cookie duration, the better. Particularly if the product you help to recommend is a freemium product. Users will likely try the product for days or weeks before they make a decision whether they want to upgrade to the pro version or not.
Even if the product you help to recommend is a fully paid product, having a long cookie duration will increase the chances of you getting a conversion. Sometimes, it takes time for people to consider a thing.
And it can be days or weeks.
5. Affiliate Platform
The term “affiliate platform” here refers to the software used by a company to run its affiliate program. Some examples of popular affiliate platforms are:
- Partnero
- PartnerStack
- Tapfiliate
- Rewardful
- Post Affiliate Pro
- Refersion
Some companies, like Kinsta and Elegant Themes, develop their own affiliate platform.
I personally don’t recommend you to partner with a company that uses ShareASale for its affiliate program. ShareASale has a clumsy interface that is extremely hard to learn.

Which Recurring Commissions Affiliate Programs Should You Join?
Of course, you should not join all the affiliate programs on the above list. Ideally, you only join the ones that fit you audience base.
For instance, if you have web creators audience base, then Kinsta and Elegant Themes are the most ideal ones to join.
Or if your audience primarily consists of content creators, joining the affiliate programs of Skool is make more sense.
Remember again. Trust is the currency of business. So, only recommend a product if you have tested it. If you want to write a listicle, for instance, make sure you have tested every single item before including it to the list.
