Elementor is the most popular page builder for WordPress. It has a theme builder feature to allow you to create a custom header and custom footer on your website. When creating a custom header using Elementor, you can use the Nav Menu widget to add a navigation menu. Elementor offers a freedom to set the appearance as well as the behavior of the navigation menu. However, there is no option to create a mega menu. If you want to create a mega menu on your Elementor-powered WordPress site, you can install JetMenu.
JetMenu is one of the Elementor add-ons developed by Crocoblock. The add-on is designed specifically to style up your navigation menu. In addition to creating a mega menu, you can also use JetMenu to create an off-canvas menu. After installing and activating JetMenu, you will see the following widgets on your Elementor:
- Mega Menu
- Vertical Mega Menu
- Hamburger Menu
To be able to use JetMenu, you need Elementor Pro since only on Elementor you can create a custom header (read Elementor Free vs Pro.) Alternatively, you can use JetThemeCore, another Elementor add-on from Crocoblock designed to create custom header and custom footer.
When creating a mega menu using JetMenu, you can add any content type you want. From blog posts, YouTube videos, WooCommerce products, a map, contact form, and so on. You can even pull out dynamic content to showcase data depending on the page content. Another handy feature offered by JetMenu is the capability to create a custom mobile menu. With this feature you can create a different mobile menu from the desktop menu one.
