Last updated on Mar 6, 2026

Want to redesign the single post template on your Elementor-powered WordPress website? No need to start from scratch. I have created some ready-to-use templates you can download and import.

The templates are available in JSON files and you can import them directly via the Elementor editor. No need to install an extra plugin or create a cloud account.

All you need to do is to make sure you already have Elementor Pro installed on your website to unlock the Theme Builder feature.

If you are new to Elementor, I have also included a video tutorial on how to import the single post templates.

What is a Single Post Template?

Before we step even further, in case you are new to WordPress, let's cover this first. What is a single post template?

WordPress is a content management system (CMS) by nature. In the WordPress system, there is a part often referenced as the single post template. It is a part that controls the layout and design of the blog posts

Single post template is available on the theme level. That's why each WordPress theme has a different blog post design.

If the default design doesn't match your design scheme, you can create a custom single post template with your own design.

In Elementor, you can create a custom single post template using its built-in Theme Builder feature. You can do so using Elementor's visual editor. In other words, no programming knowledge is required.

The best part of creating a custom single post template using Elementor Theme Builder is that you can assign it to a specific blog, posts under a specific category, all posts on your website, and so on.

How to Create a Single Post Template in Elementor

The very first thing you need to do before you create a custom single post template on your WordPress using Elementor is that you need to make sure you have Elementor Pro installed on your website because the Theme Builder feature is only accessible on Elementor Pro.

After installing and activating Elementor Pro, the Theme Builder feature becomes accessible on your website.

To access it, you can go to Elementor -> Theme Builder on your WordPress dashboard.

Elementor Theme Builder menu inside WordPress dashboard

Clicking the Theme Builder menu will take you to the Elementor Theme Builder screen where you can create a new theme part (custom template) or manage the existing ones.

To create a new single post template, you can hover your cursor over the Single Post tab on the left panel and click the plus icon.

The template library will show up after you click the icon. Here, you have two options to choose from.

If you want to create the single post template from scratch, you can close the window to open the Elementor editor.

Conversely, if you prefer to start the single post template from a pre-made template, you can click the Templates tab to import your pre-made template.

Importing a Pre-made Single Post Template

If you are completely new to Elementor, you can watch the following video to learn how to import a pre-made single post template.

We also have a separate blog post covering how to import and export an Elementor template.

What Formats are Templates Available in?

I created the single post templates using Elementor Theme Builder and exported them individually in a JSON format once a template is done.

To make it easy for you to download them, I put together the JSON files into a folder and created a ZIP file of the folder.

So, the file you will get is a ZIP file.

List of the Single Post Templates

1. Sedudo

Sedudo Elementor single post template

Sedudo is a single post template that has a one-column layout. In this template, I wanted to use the featured image as the point of interest on your content.

I highly recommend you use this image if you often photograph as the featured images on your website.

All elements on this template are stacked from top to bottom. For the fonts, I used two rarely used fonts on blog posts: Fraunces and Poppins. Feel free to replace it with your favorite fonts.

Key Features of Sedudo:

  • Single-column layout
  • Large featured image
  • Social share buttons

2. Cikaso

Cikaso Elementor single post template

Cikaso is a single post template that has a unique layout. While most single post templates have the featured image in a landscape mode, I set the featured image of this template in a portrait mode (vertical).

This template has two columns on the top section. I used the left column to place the featured image. While the right column is used to place text elements like post title, post excerpt, and author.

To make it easier for your visitors to share your content, I added social share buttons in two locations: the top section (next to the author's name) and beneath the content body.

Beneath the content body, I also added an email opt-in form which you can use to collect leads. You can connect it with an email marketing of your choice.

Key Features of Cikaso:

  • Portrait featured image
  • Email opt-in form
  • Social share buttons

3. Cilember

Cilember Elementor single post template

Cilember has a similar layout to Sedudo in which it has a large image in a landscape mode beneath the post title. What sets it apart is that this template has no post excerpt.

Also, I placed some elements in an inline layout to save space. It's also highly recommended to use photographs as the featured images if you want to use this single post template on your website.

I added some CSS snippets to achieve some styles on this template. Including the pill style to separate post tags, which I placed beneath the post body. It also has a ready-to-use email opt-in form to build an email list or to collect leads.

Key Features of Cilember:

  • Large featured image
  • Pill-styled post tags
  • Email opt-in form
  • Social share buttons

4. Kanto Lampo

Kanto Lampo Elementor single post template

Looking for a single post template that has no featured image? You can try Kanto Lampo, then. I added no featured image to this template because I wanted visitors to focus straight to the post body instead of the featured image.

To improve reading experience, I added a reading progress bar to allow readers to better understand their reading progress.

I used white solid background on this single post template because I wanted to make it easy for you to integrate it with your design scheme. No need to make many adjustments to make it blend with the design scheme of your website.

Key Features of Kanto Lampo:

  • Reading progress bar
  • Clean design
  • Single-column layout
  • Email opt-in form

5. Sekumpul

Sekumpul Elementor single post template

If you love a retro design, then Sekumpul is a perfect single post template you can download and use. I used a soft brown background to add a retro touch to the template. I also applied an italic style to the title.

Sekumpul is a single post template that has no featured image. To fill the space at the top section, I used a large font size on the post title.

Key Features of Sekumpul:

  • Single-column layout
  • Email opt-in form
  • Social share buttons

6. Haratai

Haratai Elementor single post template

I personally love a single post template with a one-column layout because it allows readers to focus on the content without being distracted by other elements.

But sometimes, you need to get out of your comfort zone. Haratai is a single post template I created with a two-column layout. More precisely, I added two columns on the content area, beneath the featured image.

I used the left column to place the content body. While for the right column, I used it to place author name and bio, hand-picked posts, and email opt-in form.

I displayed the email opt-in form in a sticky style to make it keep visible on scroll down. The goal is to increase the subscription rate.

Another feature I want to highlight is the floating reading progress indicator. I also added a back-to-to button for better navigation. These features (floating reading progress indicator and back-to-top button) are created with the native Elementor widgets.

I also added a little hover effect to the Button-styled post tags on this single post template.

Key Features of Haratai:

  • Sticky email opt-in form
  • Floating reading progress indicator
  • Floating back-to-top button
  • Social share buttons
  • Post navigation

7. Moramo

Moramo Elementor Single Post Template

Moramo is a bit similar to Cikaso where it has the featured image in a portrait mode. But on this template, I placed the featured image on the right column instead of the left.

I also added post tags above the post title in a pill style using custom CSS.

Social share buttons are only available beneath the content body as I wanted the readers to focus on the content first. If they enjoy the content, you can share it by clicking one of the buttons.

Key Features of Moramo:

  • Portrait featured image
  • Post tags in a pill style
  • Social share buttons
  • Post navigation

8. Nokan Nayan

Nokan Nayan Elementor single post template

I created this single post template using the point of view of a photographer who wants to share their story. That's why I added a large featured image as the background of the top section.

I expected that this template users will use photographs as the featured images on their website.

I added a background overlay to the featured image background to keep the texts visible regardless of the image you use.

Key Features of Nokan Nayan:

  • Dynamic background image
  • Single-column layout
  • Social share buttons

9. Guruh Gemurai

Guruh Gemurai Elementor single post template

At a glance, the design of this single post template is pretty similar to Moramo and that's correct.

The layout of the top section of Guruh Gemurai is quite similar to Moramo where it has the featured image on the right column (also in a portrait mode) and the text elements (title, excerpt, and post meta) on the left column.

But as soon as you take a look at the top-right corner, you will see one crucial difference. I added a gradient touch to this area to make it look unique. I used pink, but you can use any color you like.

Like most single post templates on the list, Guruh Gemurai also has a related posts section beneath the post body.

Key Features of Guruh Gemurai:

  • Gradient background
  • Single-column layout
  • Portrait mode featured image
  • Social share buttons
  • Post navigation

10. Tujuh Tingkat

Tujuh Tingkat Elementor single post template

Looking for an Elementor single post template that has a drop cap? You can download and import Tujuh Tingkat, then.

I created the drop cap using custom CSS as Elementor has no built-in setting options to add a drop cap on the Post Content widget. The option is only available on the Text Editor widget.

This single post template is unique as the featured image shows up twice on the top section. The first one is on the right column. And the second one is one the background, covered by an overlay.

I wanted to add a unique visual vibe by displaying the featured image on the background.

Key Features of Tujuh Tingkat:

  • Dynamic background
  • Single-column layout
  • Email opt-in form
  • Social share buttons

Summary

Elementor Theme Builder allows you to create a custom single post template on your WordPress website, even if you have no programming background. You have absolute control over the design.

If you have no clue about the design, you can start from a pre-made template instead of from scratch.

I created the single post templates above to help you to create the single post template faster, with a proper design. All templates have a responsive design and are designed to improve reading experience.

I used no third-party add-ons for the templates. You can import them directly via the Elementor editor without needing to install a third-party add-on.
