9 Best Hosting Services for Divi (Tested)

Last updated on Feb 5, 2025

I once used a cPanel-based shared hosting for my Divi-powered WordPress sites then switched to SiteGround. However, since SiteGround no longer prioritizes its users, I made another hosting switch. In this post, I will share some hosting services I tested during the switching process.

I myself currently use Rocket.net for a specific reason: it has a hosting plan designed to handle 3 WordPress websites at a reasonable price. Also, it has excellent support by humans. Not bot/AI.

In terms of features, all hosting services on the list below are not much different from Rocket.net. They have adequate configurations to be able to run Divi-powered websites without any issue.

But again. Small details make someone decide whether or not a hosting is worth settling with.

Shortcuts ⤵️

What are the Requirements for Divi Hosting?

Divi is a great theme. It comes with super handy features like built-in page builder (without needing to install an extra plugin), third-party integration with email marketing platforms, extensive dynamic content support, and so on.

However, Divi is not for everyone. Mainly because Divi requires higher hosting resources.

If you are a user of a cPanel-based traditional web hosting service, then Divi is not an ideal option because I bet you will face issues with your site back-end more often.

Before you settle with a certain hosting service, make sure it has at least the following PHP configurations. These are the minimum requirements demanded by Divi.

  • PHP version: 7.4 or greater
  • Memory limit: 128M
  • Post max size: 64M
  • Upload max filesize: 64M
  • Time limit: 120
  • Max input time: 60
  • Max input variables: 1000

How to Check the PHP Configurations of a Hosting Service

Unfortunately, hardly any WordPress hosting service that discloses the detailed technical configurations of their service.

If you truly want to check the detailed configurations of a hosting service, you can try the trial version (if available). Or if the hosting you want to use doesn’t offer a free trial, you can try it for a month first to test it.

Rocket.net allows you to use its service for only $1 during the first month.

Kinsta is even more generous. You can use its service at no cost for the first month.

Cloudways offers a 3-day free trial without asking to enter your credit card.

After creating an account on any of the hosting services below, you can add a new WordPress website. Then login to the WordPress dashboard and open the Site Health screen.

Go to the Info tab and open the Server section. You can see the detailed PHP configurations on your hosting service here.

Features to Consider When Picking a Hosting Service for Divi

As mentioned above, Divi is not an ideal option if you use a traditional shared web hosting service. That’s because traditional shared hosting services have limited resources and lower PHP configurations.

If you want your Divi-powered WordPress websites to run smoothly, you need to use a hosting service that has the minimum configurations like the ones above.

To save you money, consider using a hosting service that has the following features:

  • Caching
  • CDN
  • Scheduled backups
  • WAF (firewall)

You can save up $32.1 per month ($385.2 per year) if you use a hosting service that has the above features:

WP Rocket (caching)$4.9/month
Rocket CDN (CDN)$8.9/month
Scheduled backups (UpdraftPlus Pro)$5.8/month
WAF (Wordfence Pro)$12.4/month

Also, consider using a hosting service that offers automated updates for WordPress core and plugins. This will allow you to focus on things that matter more to grow your business since you don’t need to handle the plugin management yourself.

You can shift your focus on things like content production, marketing campaign performance monitoring and so on.

List of the Best Hosting Services for Divi

On the list ⤵️

1. Cloudways

The Cloudways homepage banner.

In case you didn’t know, Elegant Themes (the company behind Divi) has a program called Divi Hosting. In this program, Elegant Themes partners up with some hosting services to offer free Divi installation on a hosting plan.

Cloudways is one of the Elegant Themes’ partner in the Divi Hosting program.

If you choose a hosting plan available in this program, you don’t need to install Divi yourself. Instead, Divi will be available on your website.

You can install as many sites as you want (with Divi pre-installed) as long as the storage is still available.

Cloudways itself is technically a VPS. Meaning that you will have dedicated virtual resources for your hosting account. You can choose which cloud platform to power your hosting server. From DigitalOcean, Google Cloud, AWS, Vultr to Linode.

Although Cloudways is a VPS, you don’t need to manage everything yourself. It offers managed hosting features where tasks like backup and software updates will be handled by it.

Cloudways is an ideal option if you are an agency as you can install unlimited WordPress websites. It uses PHP 8.1 as the default PHP version.

2. Rapyd Cloud

Rapyd Cloud WordPress Hosting

If you are looking for a cloud hosting that is powered by AWS for you Divi websites, then you can try Rapyd Cloud. The hosting service of Rapyd Cloud is designed for a single website. Thus, Rapyd Cloud is an ideal option if you only have one website to manage.

Rapyd Cloud is a hosting service founded by the original founder of BuddyBoss — a popular community plugin for WordPress. No wonder it offers a hosting plan aimed specifically at those owning a BuddyBoss-powered community website.

Since Rapyd Cloud is designed for a single site, it is not an ideal option if you are an agency or freelancer. Instead, it is an ideal option for individuals or organizations who want to build and manage a website by their own.

Apart from BuddyBoss, Rapyd Cloud also offers hosting plans for WooCommerce and LMS. Of course, you can install Divi on any hosting plan that Rapyd Cloud offers. Rapyd Cloud has adequate configurations to run Divi.

Same as Cloudways, Rapyd Cloud also offers a 3-day free trial, but you are obligated to enter your credit card info.

Rapyd Cloud Key Features:

  • CDN
  • WAF (powered by Patchstack)

  • Caching (powered by Object Cache Pro)

  • Useful file manager for easier file access

Rapyd Cloud Cons:

  • Not a good option for agencies
  • Free trial requires entering credit card information

3. Rocket.net

Rocket.net

As I mentioned in the opening section. I use Rocket.net for this blog. The main reason is that Rocket.net has a specific hosting plan — the Pro plan — which matches my hosting needs.

With Rocket.net’s Pro hosting plan, I can add three WordPress websites without being worried about the number of visitors.

After using Rocket.net for weeks, I’ve found another reason why Rocket.net is a great hosting service: it prioritizes users by providing excellent support by humans. You will be greeted directly by humans when starting a new chat to get help.

In terms of features, Rocket.net is not really far different from other managed WordPress hosting services. It also comes with money-saving features like CDN, caching, automated backups and firewall.

The entire Rocket.net hosting service itself is powered by Cloudflare. From the hosting itself to CDN.

When you use Rocket.net, the login form on your website will be protected by Cloudflare security feature. This feature will make sure that those accessing the login page are humans, not bots.

You can use Rocket.net for only $1 during the first month.

Rocket.net is integrated with the WordPress plugin repository. You can install free plugins available on the plugin repository directly from your hosting dashboard.

Furthermore, Rocket.net also comes with a file manager for easier file access.

Key Features of Rocket.net

  • CDN (Powered by Cloudflare)
  • WAF (powered by Cloudflare and Imunify360)
  • Automated backup
  • Caching

  • Free WP Rocket plugin for more optimization options
  • Useful file manager
  • Fully managed WordPress hosting
  • Excellent support by humans

Rocket.net Cons:

  • Too many plugin recommendations during WordPress installation
  • Lacks of documentation

4. Kinsta

The homepage of Kinsta hosting.

If you have no issue with money, then Kinsta is a perfect hosting solution you can use to run your Divi-powered WordPress website. Kinsta is especially a suitable option for agencies.

It offers some hosting plans aimed specifically at agencies. These plans come with extra features like white label and early access to beta tools developed by Kinsta. Also, your agency will be listed on the Kinsta agency directory page.

The best part about Kinsta is that it adopts the pay-as-you-go billing approach.

What does it mean?

Say you have subscribed to the lowest tier on its single-site plan. In the first week of the second month, you no longer find that Kinsta is a good fit and you want to stop the subscription.

Instead of charging you the full fee ($35), Kinsta will only charge $8.12 because you only use the Kinsta service for a week in the active billing month.

Best of all, Kinsta offers all new users free hosting service for a month!

Kinsta itself has a super clean control panel that is super easy to use. It offers features like controllable CDN, image optimization (an optional setting to automatically convert your JPG and PNG files into WebP) and robust analytics.

The hosting service of Kinsta is powered by Google Cloud. It uses container technology. Every website you add to Kinsta will have isolated virtual resources.

Key Features of Kinsta:

  • Controllable caching
  • CDN
  • Staging environment
  • Scheduled backups
  • Super clean and intuitive control panel
  • WAF
  • Team collaboration
  • Image optimizer
  • Free migration
  • Robust analytics

Pricing:

  • Starts from $35/month

Kinsta Pros:

  • Super clean control panel
  • Pay-as-you-go billing approach
  • Free for the first month
  • Second-to-none documentation
  • Excellent performance
  • Offers white-label feature for agencies

Kinsta Cons:

  • No file manager
  • A bit pricey

5. Pressable

New Pressable homepage

Pressable is another hosting service on the list that joins force with Elegant Themes on the Divi Hosting program. So, if you want to use Divi without installing it yourself (although it is not a big deal, actually), then you can try Pressable.

In case you didn’t know, Pressable is a hosting service from Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. The hosting technology used by Pressable is the same as the one used by WordPress.com. The hosting is powered by WP Cloud.

I also tested Pressable before settling with Rocket.net for my Divi-powered WordPress sites. It had excellent PHP configurations. For instance, it had the maximum file upload of 2GB, way higher than the one demanded by Divi.

Some Pressable features are powered by Jetpack (another Automattic product). These include WAF, DDoS protection and activity log.

Pressable also comes with CDN, but not powered by Jetpack. Instead, it uses a custom-built CDN that is integrated directly with the hosting platform.

Other features like automated backups, team collaboration, scheduled updates for WordPress core and plugins and staging environment are available.

Key Features of Pressable:

  • CDN
  • Caching
  • Staging environment
  • Scheduled backups
  • Team collaboration
  • Free migration
  • WAF
  • SFTP
  • Hack recovery assistance

Pricing:

  • Starts from $25.month

Pressable Pros:

  • More affordable
  • Excellent PHP configuration
  • Offers pre-installed Divi sites via Divi Hosting program
  • Uses technology that is designed specifically for WordPress

Pressable Cons:

  • No file manager
  • No trial version. Normal price since month one

6. WordPress.com

WordPress dot com

You read it right. WordPress.com is one of the hosting services I recommend to run Divi. It uses the same hosting technology as Pressable, after all. Thus, its performance and configuration are reliable enough.

However, you need to be aware that you need to subscribe to the Business plan to be able to install a third-party theme like Divi. Also, you need to understand that every plan only allows you to add one WordPress website.

If you have no problem with the above conditions, then using WordPress.com to run a Divi-powered WordPresss site is not a bad decision.

WordPress.com relies on Jetpack to power some features. Not just firewall and DDoS protection like Pressable. Features like automated updates, scheduled backups and uptime monitor are also powered by Jetpack.

WordPress.com also allows you to access your site files via SFTP. Additional features like staging environment and analytics are also available in WordPress.com hosting service.

Key Features of WordPress.com:

  • CDN
  • Caching
  • Staging environment
  • Scheduled backups
  • SFTP
  • WAF

Pricing:

  • Starts from $40/month for the Business plan

WordPress.com Pros:

  • Fully managed WordPress hosting. No need to deal with plugin and core updates
  • Hosting technology is built exclusively for WordPress
  • Large hosting storage
  • A great option for online businesses that don’t use an agency

WordPress.com Cons:

  • Not an ideal option for agencies
  • A bit pricey

7. Pressidium

Pressidium hosting banner

Pressidium is not a popular hosting service. I know it. But I tried it and found that it’s a good enough hosting service. I particularly love its control panel which is super clean and easy to use. Pretty similar to Kinsta’s.

The performance was also good when I tested it (CDN disabled). If you enable its CDN, you will definitely have a better performance than mine.

The CDN feature of Pressable is powered by Akamai.

Pressable primarily targets universities, agencies and big organizations. Some of its partners include University of Kent, University of Kentucky and Academy of Art University.

Pressidium has a great backup feature where it stores your backup files for up to 30 days. As a comparison, Kinsta only stores your backup files for only 14 days.

If you need to backup your website manually, Pressidium also facilitates it.

If you are interested in trying Pressable, you can start from $25 per month.

Key Features of Pressable:

  • Caching (powered by Redis)
  • CDN (powered by Akamai)
  • Staging environment
  • Scheduled backups
  • Clean and intuitive control panel
  • WAF
  • Free migration

Pricing:

  • Starts from $25/month

Pressidium Pros:

  • More affordable plan is available
  • Easy-to-use control panel
  • Long backup retention
  • Powerful analytics feature

Pressidium Cons:

  • No free trial. Normal prince since month one

8. Bluehost Cloud

Bluehost Cloud

Bluehost is one of the oldest players in the web hosting industry. It offers several hosting types which you can use according to your needs. From a small blog to a high-traffic website.

If you are an agency who uses Divi, I strongly recommend you use Bluehost Cloud hosting service.

Bluehost Cloud is a hosting service aimed specifically at agencies. This service leverages WP Cloud.

Yes. If you use Bluehost Cloud, your websites will run on the same hosting technology as Pressable and WordPress.com.

The lowest plan offered by Bluehost Cloud allows you to install up to 10 websites with the storage of 125GB.

Every plan on Bluehost Cloud includes Yoast Pro. This makes sense enough since Bluehost and Yoast are owned by the same parent company: Newfold Digital.

Some features available in Bluehost Cloud include automated updates for WordPress core and plugins, automated backups, WAF and uptime monitoring.

Key Features of Bluehost Cloud:

  • Caching
  • CDN
  • Staging environment
  • Scheduled backups
  • Automated updates for WordPress core and plugins
  • WAF
  • Free migration

Pricing:

  • Starts from $109/month (Bluehost Cloud)

Bluehost Cloud Pros:

  • An ideal hosting service for agencies
  • Hosting technology is built exclusively for WordPress
  • Fully managed hosting service

Bluehost Cloud Cons:

  • High starter price
  • No trial.

9. 20i

20i hosting banner

20i is another great hosting service that you can use to run Divi. It has adequate PHP configurations that are more than enough to run Divi. 20i itself is a VPS just like Cloudways.

You will need to configure a server first before being able to add a website. But the process is easy enough. You don’t need to manage the required server applications like web server and database server yourself. 20i does the job for you.

In 20i, you have 3 cloud platforms to choose from: 20iCloud, AWS and Google Cloud.

You can use 20i from $11/month (20iCloud). This plan offers a 25GB storage with the RAM of 1GB. You can install as many websites as you want as long as the storage space is still available.

Each 20i hosting plan includes features like CDN, caching, free migration, automated updates for WordPress core and plugins and so on.

Hotlink protection feature is also available to prevent your resources from being used by other parties without your consent.

Key Features of 20i:

  • CDN
  • WAF
  • Automated backup
  • Caching
  • Staging environment
  • SSL
  • SFTP
  • Free migration
  • Hotlink protection
  • File manager

Pricing:

  • Starts from $11/month

20i Pros:

  • More affordable
  • A nice option for agencies looking for managed VPS
  • Offers plenty of useful features

20i Cons:

  • No free trial
  • Requires extra steps to get started

Summary

Divi is a great WordPress theme, but it demands higher hosting resources to run its visual builder.

Running a Divi-powered WordPress website on a traditional shared hosting service is not recommended since this type of hosting service typically has super limited resources — and they are shared with other websites.

Using a hosting service that adopts container technology (or even VPS) is more recommended if you are a Divi user. This can ensure your website running smoothly. Especially if your site serves high daily traffic.

So, Which Hosting Service Should You Use?

If you only manage one website, regardless of the site type you run, then Rapyd Cloud is a more rational solution. All of its hosting plans are designed specifically for one website.

If you are an agency, Cloudways and Kinsta are more suitable options. In Cloudways, you can install unlimited websites as long as your storage is still available.

In Kinsta, you can remove Kinsta branding from the WordPress admin thanks to its white-label feature.

Rocket.net, meanwhile, is an ideal choice if you have the same case as me. You can run and manage multiple websites at a lower cost.
